emergence of Isuzu Trooper in Honduras. After years of experience in transportation
business, the father and son duo decided to leave their homeland in Pimienta,
Honduras to expand their business in San Pedro Sula, the most improved city of
their country at that time. Mr. Jacobo K. Jaar and his son, Mr. Emilio J. Jaar,
decided to change their transportation transactions to commercial trucks sales
with Casa Jaar as their commercial name.
With its reliable and top-notch products and services, Casa Jaar gained fame
all over the country. It is even said that it is one of the founders of transportation
business in the said country. Mack trucks and Diamond T trucks are the first commercial
trucks sold by Casa Jaar. In 1950 Borgward Trucks and Lilac motorcycles form Germany,
Triumph motorcycles from England, Studebraker cars and trucks from USA and Tratra,
Praga and Skoda from Czechoslovakia provide more options for their growing number
of customers. Other products such as car parts and accessories were also offered
in the later years.
In 1959, Casa Jaar was connected with Isuzu Motors Limited of Japan as seller and distributor of Isuzu Products including car parts and
accessories. It was in 1992 when Isuzu Trooper formally arrived in car market
world.
